Handmade in an off-grid hideaway

Tiny House.jpg

At the height of the pandemic, I found myself splitting an unusual amount of firewood. I needed a lot of logs to keep warm at my tiny house for a full winter, which led to my axe handle breaking. I bought a replacement, which also broke shortly after re-hafting. Rather than buying a third handle, I thought I’d try to make use of the Ash trees the beavers on my property had gnawed down. I’ve since carved over 50 handles for restored axes, but what really caught my friends’ and neighbors’ attention were the leather sheaths I was cobbling together to cover the sharp edges. I further met their interest by delving into the art of leathercraft, beginning with simple sheaths and wallets and developing my skills to design and create finely crafted tote bags, backpacks, chairs, and more. The process of taking an idea from my imagination to a notebook to a tangible product is one I find deeply fulfilling. True artisanry backed by years of experience sourcing the best full-grain leather, I take great pride in selling all my hand-sewn pieces with a genuine lifetime guarantee.
